Masterclass – First Session SOLD OUT, Second Session now available

Incident Investigation is often considered to be a universal skill. However, the difference between an ‘investigation’ and a ‘good investigation’; is the
self-awareness of the investigator.

This masterclass will be an interactive journey to help each participant understand their own biases, whether conscious or unconscious and learn how
to listen without judgement, prejudice, or a hidden agenda. You cannot join all the dots until you “know” what they are, not what you “think” they
are. No matter what software package you use, these skills will enhance every investigation you lead.

This Masterclass will be run by Nicchia Schutt-Toleman. Nicchia has 20 years’ experience as a Workplace Health and Safety professional working in industries such as Defence, aviation, laboratories, higher education, mechanical engineering and oil and gas. Nicchia specialises in incident investigation, coaching, facilitation, and organisational safety. For 5 years, she was the Lead Incident Investigator at BP Bulwer Island and the most senior BP investigator in Australia for the last half of her tenure. Nicchia’s Leading Incident Investigation workshop is IChemE accredited and has been taught at Woodside and ConocoPhillips among others. Uniquely designed, her Investigation course uses actors to simulate the interviewing experience and provide a safe place for participants to learn and grow.

Nicchia is an engaging communicator, facilitating industry theatre presentations, lecturing in script writing at the Queensland School of Film and Television and spending her spare time performing stand-up comedy.
