Occupational violence is a serious issue in all customer-facing industries. A person may be threatened, abused or assaulted by customers or members of the public whilst performing their work duties. Customer violence often causes physical or psychological injury and can also result in costs to business and industry through increased workers’ compensation and insurance premiums.
The National Retail Association (NRA) has proudly partnered with the NSCA Foundation to deliver a webinar on identifying and managing the risks associated with customer violence in the workplace.
In this webinar, the NRA’s Legal Practice Director, Lindsay Carroll will discuss:
- the risk factors associated with occupational violence in customer-facing industries;
- customer violence prevention measures; and
- responding to customer violence in the workplace and understanding your obligation to report notifiable incidents to the regulator.
Attendance at this webinar is complimentary. Please register your attendance here.
