About the NSCA
The NSCA has, for almost 90 years, played an important role in helping inspire, educate, inform and engage Australian business in best practice WHS and risk management. Our vision remains to assist Australian workplaces to be the safest in the world and protect their most important asset – their people.
In 2014, the NSCA Board, with member endorsement, decided it could best achieve this vision by partnering with Wesfarmers Industrials & Safety (WIS) to provide all the NSCA Training and Consulting services, which would allow the not-for-profit public service activity to continue to focus on its membership services, including the annual National Safety Awards, and continue to promote the workplace safety message within the Australian community.
In July 2016, the NSCA partnered with J. Blackwood and Son Pty Ltd (Blackwoods incorporating Blackwoods Training) to provide a comprehensive range of safety training courses to assist organisations to not only work safely, but also to establish a leading safety culture. Both NSCA and Blackwoods are owned by Wesfarmers and fall into the Wesfarmers Industrial & Safety (WIS) division.
NSCA membership activity is provided through the separate not-for-profit NSCA Foundation Ltd (ABN 22 008 427 914). All membership fees collected will are used exclusively by the Foundation for the benefit of its charter and membership. WIS will not receive any of these contributions.

Member Connect events are exclusive opportunities for members to network with and learn from other like-minded, safety conscious individuals and organisations.
At these events three safety representatives from different industries are invited to share their experiences and perspectives in strengthening the safety of their workplaces. Take away from Member Connect events can include resources, tips and motivation to achieve more in the workplace safety environment.
